The profit rate assumes 5 kills per hour. Your actual profit may be higher or lower depending on your speed and Araxxor's enrage. Note that with more experience and max guild teleport it is possible to get 8-10 kills an hour and upwards of 20 kills an hour when path 1/2 is open and you are duoing. However the drop rate of leg pieces are reduced when killing araxxor with a partner.
Please note that you cannot teleport out of the fight so make sure you do not forget to bring all required items to fight Araxxi or be prepared to die. You have to finish all four stages before leaving in order to get the loot and leave the fight. It is highly recommended that you bring Araxyte pheromone in your inventory since this will cause Araxxor to spawn in the combat style weakest to yours for the first 3 stages of the fight if not planning to fight Araxxor in an instance.
Killing Araxxi can make huge profits when the player is experienced with the mechanics of this boss. The main profit from killing this monster comes from completing the Spider leg. The Spider leg can be made by combining three of the leg pieces which can be acquired by doing different paths of the boss. At any time, there are 2 out of 3 paths open and available to fight and paths rotate every 4 days. This means the player cannot complete the leg on the same day regardless of the luck that one has in drops. This also means that the player may not make lots of profit instantly, however if the player keeps killing Araxxi over the course of few days, killing this boss can be one of the best money making methods.
Araxxi's fight has four stages. First and last stages do not change regardless of the paths available. Stages 2 and 3 are affected by the paths that are available for that rotation period. During the first 3 stages, you will be fighting Araxxor and during the last stage you will be facing Araxxi.
Phase 1
During this phase, Araxxor will only use his cleave, cobweb and cocoon special attacks. Two of the paths will be covered by webs, and the other will be blocked by rocks. Choose a path and ignite the web immediately to save time while you are depleting his health. It will take 1 minute to burn through the web. Lower Araxxor below 5,000 life points before proceeding.
Phase 2
Top path - If you have burned the web leading to top path, during this stage Araxxor gains two additional special attacks. Araxxor can spawn three eggs on the ground which explode after some time if player stands on them or hatches a spider per each egg if player was too far away from the eggs (it is advised that you stand on the eggs). The second attack can spawn 5 spiders which you should kill before attacking Araxxor, this attack can repeat until 20 spiders have been summoned (note: prioritize Mirrorback spider or Pulsing spider if any of them are present) Phase 3 can be advanced to at any time by continuing down the path; however, it is recommended to deplete the reinforcements and reduce his health under 5,000.
Middle path - Araxxor must be lured to the pool of acid in the centre to absorb it, then use his acid to collapse a barrier. During this phase, he will not use his cocoon attack. Instead, it is replaced with the ability to spawn an acidic spider, which must be avoided until it explodes or it will deal up to 32,000 damage at the player. Araxxor can be drained to 45,000 life points or less by the time the ramp breaks, without stalling at all to drain it further. However, it is recommended to reduce his life points to at least 20,000 before luring him to the ramp.
Bottom path - In the bottom path, Araxxor flees to the ceiling, blocking out the light. The player must have Araxxor destroy the wall, which will have 100 units. During this phase, the path will be engulfed in darkness with one small spot of light. Initially, damage begins at 50 and caps at 350 or 450. This initial damage increases by 10 per kill during that day when the path is taken. While in the light, players will take no damage. After some time, Araxxor will come down and charge at the player, around 15 seconds after the warning.
- When Araxxor swipes from the right, dodge right (right arrow key)
- When Araxxor swipes from the left, dodge left (left arrow key)
- When Araxxor's front legs are low to the ground and spread, dodge up (up arrow key)
- When Araxxor's front legs are pointing down and close to each other, dodge down (down arrow key)
For the remaining phases, Araxxor and Araxxi have the ability to turn the area temporarily dark; they stop this after they reach a damage cap 100 lower than their maximum cap.
Phase 3
During this phase, Araxxor will copy the paths available to him. At the start of the phase, unseen spiders will watch Araxxor's health, and will heal him for an allotted amount before running out of energy. The allotted amount they can heal is 80% of the sum of the remaining life points Araxxor had for the first 2 phases. If path 1 is open then Araxxor will be able to summon spiders. If path 2 is open, then any remaining acid in the pool will need to be taken care of. If path 3 is open, Araxxor will have access to his darkness attack. Regardless of the available paths, Araxxor's attack rate increases significantly on this phase. Once Araxxor's health is depleted to 0, the fight will advance to stage 4.
Phase 4
During this phase Araxxi's attacks are stronger than Araxxor's and will change style depending on your prayer. Changing prayers is the most effective way to reduce the damage of Araxxi's attacks. Araxxi still has access to the cleave, healing web, cocoon attacks and summoning minions for the first 50,000 health of the fight. You should continue counting her standard attacks and casting Freedom/Anticipation to reduce the potency of her special attacks. At 25,000 life points, Araxxi will increase her rage by 20%, drain the player's adrenaline by 50% of maximum, and release a black sludge. The sludge will bounce around the platform randomly several times before bouncing towards the player. When on you, it will deal rapid and powerful damage. Let the sludge hit you once and then move off of your square.
Once Araxxi reach 0 health points, player can then loot the corpse for the reward and can right click on the corpse to leave the area.
For every Araxxi killed during that day, Araxxor will gain 20% enrage at the beginning of each fight, which stacks as more are killed. So if a player is killing Araxxi for the 10th time, the fight will begin with 180% enrage. Enrage increases the damage that Araxxor can deal on the player and will affect profit rate.
