| Effectiveness | Level requirement | Details | Other requirements |
|---|---|---|---|
| ***** | Level 1 | Cut wood trees, and use a knife to make Arrow shafts that can be sold to players for about 3 coins, which is around 45 coins per log (one log can make 15 arrow shafts). As the Arrow shafts are stackable, they can be done without returning to the bank.Once you have a high enough level start making arrows. This will give you more exp and you can train range or just go and sell the arrows at the Grand Exchange. You can also buy stripy feathers and attach them to shafts, making a greater profit. | |
| ***** | Level 32 | Buy Kebbit spikes from the GE, which sell for 275 coins for each spike, and chisel them into 6 Kebbit bolts which sell for 60 coins for each bolt, generating a net profit of 123 coins for each spike purchased.Kebbit spikes are drops from deadfall trapping Prickly Kebbits (Hunter level 37), which are frequently used to train hunter on, so there should be a reasonable supply of them on the GE. Kebbit bolts are used only with a hunter's crossbow, which is a popular weapon due to cheap, effective bolts and firing speed, so there is demand for the produced bolts as well. | |
| ***** | Level 39 | Once the player has reached this level and has at least 5000 gp to invest, they can combine training and moneymaking by finishing unfinished iron bolts bought on the grand exchange and selling the finished bolts for around 10-50 gp more each. Since feathers, the only other requirement to finish bolts, cost around 13 gp each on the Grand Exchange, and there's nearly always unfinished bolts for sale and buyers for finished bolts, you quickly get money! Unfinished bolts, bolts, and feathers all stack, so there are no worries about running out of inventory space, however you cannot fletch multiple sets at once like arrows, and may take some time if you are fletching large batches of bolts. After each sale of finished bolts, you can buy quite a bit more unfinished bolts than each previous buy, so the amount of bolts and profit you make increases exponentially with each iteration of the process. Higher level fletchers may do the same process with higher level bolts, although supplies of unfinished bolts and demand for finished dwindles. Note that bronze bolts are unsuited for this as unfinished bolts cost 5 - 10 more per bolt than finished bolts. | |
| ***** | Level 40 | Once the player has reached this level they may buy Willow Logs for 9 make willow longbow (u) and sell them on the Grand Exchange for a profit of 23 or sell them to a general store for 32 generating 23 coins worth in profit per log fletched | |
| ***** | Level 42 | Buy Long kebbit spikes from the GE, which sell for 1,052 coins for each spike, and chisel them into 6 Long kebbit bolts which sell for 230 coins for each bolt, generating a net profit of Expression error: Unrecognised punctuation character "," coins for each spike purchased.Note that the profitability of this task is limited by buying spikes and selling bolts on the GE, both of which can be slow processes. If the buying and selling were faster, this task would be rated much higher. | |
| ***** | Level 55 | Buy Maple logs from the GE, for about 31gp, make into Maple Longbow (u) and sell at a general store for about 64gp, doubling profit. This in turn generates more money to continuously use this method. | |
| ***** | Level 58 | Once the player has reached this level, buy as many cut emeralds as possible in the Grand Exchange for market price. Use a chisel with the cut emeralds and make them into boltheads which sell for around 83 gp each. Using this method, you make roughly 134 gp per emerald you cut. This is very time consuming but there are always emeralds selling in the Grand Exchange and emerald bolt heads are in a moderate demand. You can normally make around 110-200k per hour. You can also attach these to mithril bolts and gain even more xp with a slight amount of lost money. This allows for faster Training

| ***** | Level 70 | Yew longbows are in constant demand by players training magic through the high alchemy spell. Yew longbows can be sold for about 649 coins each, or High Alchemy can be cast on them to get 768 coins each. If the player has 60+ woodcutting, 55+ magic, 10+ crafting, and 70+ fletching, the player can wood-cut yew logs, make bowstrings, make the yew longbows, and cast high alchemy on them and get basically free xp in many skills and still make money. And also, the player may buy yew logs from the Grand Exchange and craft then into yew longbow (u). Then buy bowstrings and fletch them into yew longbows and sell back to the Grand Exchange to make a small but decent profit. | |
| ***** -2k per 120 bolts made. | Level 71 | Dragonstone bolts: If you buy dragonstone cut gems, rune bolts, then cut and attach to form dragonstone tip bolts you can make 3k per dragonstone. This is only for the patient people as it can take awhile to buy and sell these items. This method does not work with the current prices. You'll lose money. | |
| ***** | Level 85 | Magic longbows are also in fairly high demand for casting high alchemy on in order to train magic. Magic longbows can be sold for about 1,401 coins each, or High Alchemy can be cast on them to get 1536 coins each. If the player has 75+ woodcutting, 55+ magic, 10+ crafting, and 85+ fletching, the player can wood cut magic logs, make bowstrings, make the magic longbows, and cast high alchemy on them and get basically free xp in many skills and still make money. |
