This skill is commonly seen as a money-wasting skill to level. However, if you have a decent level, you can certainly earn some money to cover your "output."
Note: The money making actions below will not grant you any direct construction experience.
| Effectiveness | Level requirement | Details | Other requirements |
|---|---|---|---|
| ***** | Level 9 | This can be a useful money-maker in its own right if your home is near a bank: Yanille is recommended - the round trip to bank and back runs about 1 minute 10 seconds, and loading a pack of 28 takes about 1 minute 40 seconds. However, it is most effective in conjunction with early Construction training (when you are producing flatpacks of little value) to offset the cost of planks: after constructing each batch of flatpacks, drop them for space and fill your pack with food from your kitchen, taking that to the bank and depositing it when you pick up your next load of planks. It is also useful when passing through your house for any reason (picking up or dropping off costumes in your costume room, using the teleports, etc).
Level-9: Collect buckets of milk from your Wooden larder for 106 each or 2968 coins per trip. | A kitchen with a larder |
| ***** | Level 30 | Hire a cook and ask her to make pineapple pizzas. You will make 1,847 each selling them on the G.E. The downside to this is that every 7 pizzas you have to pay her 3k. You can only ask for one at a time, but if you position yourself by the dining room table, beside where she drops off the pizza, you can ask for the next immediately after she delivers one. Done this way, the cook will make about 2 pizzas per minute. | At least two bedrooms with beds in your house |
| ***** | Level 40 | Make Varrock teleport tablets. They are currently selling for around 1,007 coins each. If you buy all the ingredients you get a 300 coin profit per tab. | Lectern & 25 Magic |
| ***** | Level 47 | Make Lumbridge teleport tablets. They are currently worth about 1,128 coins each. If you buy all the ingredients you get a 398 coin profit per tab. | Eagle Lectern & 31 Magic |
| ***** | Level 47 | Make Falador teleport tablets, which are currently selling for around 1,045 coins. If you buy all the ingredients you get a 303 coin profit per tab. | Eagle Lectern & 37 Magic |
| ***** | Level 57 | Make Camelot teleport tablets. They are currently selling for around 863 coins each. If you buy all the ingredients you get a 138 coin profit per tab. | Teak Eagle Lectern & 45 Magic |
| ***** | Level 57 | Make Ardougne teleport tablets, currently selling for 1,206 coins each. If you buy all the ingredients you get a 306 coin profit per tab. | Teak Eagle Lectern, 51 Magic, completed Plague City quest |
| ***** | Level 67 | Make Watchtower t'port tablets, currently selling for 1,125 coins each. If you buy all the ingredients you get a 249 coin profit per tab. | Mahogany Eagle Lectern, 58 Magic, and completed Watchtower quest |
| ***** | Level 67 | Make Teleport to house tablets, currently selling for 1,057 coins each. These are the most sought after teleport tablets due to the uses of a house, including safe deaths, easy teleportation via other portals, Barrows repair, etc. If you buy all the ingredients you get a 351 coin profit per tab. | Mahogany Eagle Lectern & 40 Magic |
| ***** | Level 67 | Make Bones to Peaches tablets, currently selling for 1,322 coins each. If you use a mud battlestaff you only need two nature runes and a soft clay per teletab. Buying these ingredients gives you a profit of 450 coins per tablet. These are usually bought in bulk by players with a high combat level who wish to train without unlocking Bones to Peaches themselves or using Guthan's equipment. | Mahogany Demon Lectern, 60 Magic, unlocked spell at the Mage Training Arena. Mud Staff is highly recommended. |
[edit] Churning milk from larder
Another method that's not that efficient is building a wooden larder at level 9 and withdraw buckets of milk. The milk can be churned, at cooking level 38, to butter that are currently selling for 817 coins each.
If your house is located in Rimmington, you can fill your inventory with milk and run to the dairy churn at the farm south of Falador and make pats of butter, and bank it in Falador. In one hour you can make six inventories of pat of butter, that's 137,000 coins an hour.
Also this can make the trip back to the bank pay off, if you are not using any teleports, only running back and forth to the bank and your house.
