Money making guide/Combined

From the RuneScape Wiki, the wiki for all things RuneScape

Before editing this page, please see this page for guidelines on how to properly add information.
Due to constantly changing prices for items on the Grand Exchange, some information in this article may not be current.
If a money making method is out of date, you can edit this page to improve it.

By combining different skills, you can gain a considerable sum of both money and experience, rather than too much money and too little experience (or the other way around). Most of these methods do cost a large sum of base funds, and these methods may not be as effective as power levelling or strict money making methods.

Silver ores can be mined, smithed into bars and sold in term of bars on the Grand Exchange for 314 coins. The best place to mine silver is Al Kharid mine, featuring 5 rocks and a nearby furnace, but the Crafting Guild features 6 rocks and is unpopulated, though 40 Crafting is required to enter the guild. 40 Crafting

In various places you can find a fairly abundant supply of rocks for coal, mithril and adamantite ores. If you bring a pickaxe, a staff of fire, and a stack of nature runes to one of these sites, you can mine ores, use Superheat Item to smith them into bars, and sell the bars on the Grand Exchange. The advantage of using Superheat Item as opposed to simply banking the ores and later smelting them on a furnace is that you not only gain Magic experience, but you also increase your carrying capacity per trip as you will be bringing back a load of bars, rather than a load of ores. Of metal bars, steel sell for 833 coins, mithril for 1,585 coins, and adamantite sell for 3,045 coins. You can find these rocks in the Lumbridge swamp mine, on Crandor Isle, at the Steel Mine or the Hobgoblin Mine. The latter two mines are in the Wilderness, however, so be prepared if you mine there. If you have 60 Mining you can also use the rocks in the Mining Guild. Various Mining and Smithing levels depending on your choice of bar

Got to Crandor in Dragon Slayer
This is a more specialized version of the general superheating of ores. Both adamantite (3 rocks), mithril (8 rocks) and coal (7 rocks) can be found on Crandor, and the method is to extract ores on that island for making mithril or adamant bars. Bringing 27 nature runes, a rune pickaxe, wield a staff of fire and some food for defending from some attacks with you, pay 30 coins to travel from Port Sarim to Karmarja (this is F2P, not P2P) and travel into the Volcano to get to Crandor. You must have at least started the Dragon Slayer quest to the point before you encounter Elvarg, which is far enough into the quest that if you get there you might as well finish the quest. The purpose for getting this far is to unlock the "secret passage" to Crandor isle. Wear as light of clothing as possible, and make sure you wield the Fire Staff and have the pickaxe in your inventory. Combat level 65 is at least recommended, so the king scorpions don't attack you when you are mining, or the other lesser creatures on the island. Higher combat level helps. Mine the ore rocks, and for adamantite you may have to World switching a little bit in order to get a large enough inventory if you don't want to wait. There are a sufficient number of mithril rocks that world switching isn't strictly necessary if you are going for mith bars. While waiting for the ore rocks to re-spawn, you can mine the coal rocks, which if by yourself (common here... due to the high requirements to do this task) you can usually mine the coal in a circle that respawns as soon as you have mined the last rock, or have very little waiting.

After filling about half of your inventory with ore (addy or mith ore) and the other half with coal, cast Superheat Item on each ore and repeat mining coal, gradually filling up your inventory with mith bars or addy bars. As your inventory fills up with bars, you may have to do some fancy dropping of bars and picking them up right after casting the superheat item... or you may want to simply fill the rest of your inventory with mith or addy ore. Adjust the number of nature runes accordingly so you will "run out" of nature runes and be able to mine that one last ore, or superheat the final bar to fit in your inventory. Optionally, teleport back to the cabbage field near Draynor Village to bank your materials for another round.

***** 15 Fishing
55 Cooking
Anchovy pizzas can be produced by buying plain pizzas (cooked one!) ( or pizza bases, tomatos and cheeses depending on market and personal choice) in bulk on the Grand Exchange for 300, 65 and 108 coins each respectively; anchovies can be caught at the fishing spot south of Draynor Village, added to the pizzas, and sell the anchovy pizzas for 1,785 coins each.
***** 50+ Combat
40 Mining
Lesser demons and gold rocks are in close proximity to each other inside the Karamja volcano. You can train your combat stats and Mining at the same time by mining ores and fighting the lesser demons while you wait for your run energy to recharge and for the ores to respawn. Gold ore sells for 420 each, and lesser demons drop several items you can alch, including mithril chainbodies and rune med helms. An explorer's ring 3 can help here by providing free Low Level Alchemy casts, quick teleports to Draynor Village for banking, and extra energy restoration if needed. Explorer's ring 3
