Outputs = 2,000 x Mort myre fungus Mort myre fungi (6,866,000) Location = Mort Myre Swamp Category = Collecting Intensity = High Details =

Warning! There is a small risk of dying for lower level players. Ghasts do not hit very hard, but the damage does add up over time.

Collecting mort myre fungi is very profitable as it is the secondary ingredient for making super energy potions. While wearing Morytania legs, players will receive double the amount of fungi when collecting. However, make sure there are at least two inventory spaces when collecting, otherwise players will only receive one fungus. Casting bloom affects rotting objects in the 8 squares around the player and consumes between 10 and 60 prayer points (though if the player only has 1 prayer point left, bloom can still be cast). Players should use a location surrounded by 3 rotting logs to increase the chances of obtaining mort myre fungus. An Ivlandis flail or blessed sickle (b) can be placed on the action bar to cast bloom with hotkeys.

Inventory setup should include 3 Prayer renewal 4-dose vials or 2 6-dose flasks, as 10 doses will be consumed in 1 hour. Each renewal dose will recover prayer points over 6 minutes, though as long as the potion effect is active bloom can be cast indefinitely. Super prayer renewal potion is better and is sometimes cheaper per dose.

Collecting mort myre fungi location

Recommend location for players using the bank deposit chest

If you have completed Deadliest Catch, you will have unlocked a deposit chest along the eastern banks of the River Salve. A short distance south of this, shown in the picture on the right, are 3 rotting logs within a 3x3 area. Simply cast bloom, collect, and deposit until you run out of prayer renewal doses. Using the bank deposit chest, this method can collect up to 2500 mort myre fungi per hour, which is a profit of 8,522,776.

For people that haven't completed Deadliest Catch: first, use the fairy ring network to teleport to bkr. Run west until you see three rotting logs, as shown in the image above. Drink a dose of prayer renewal, stand in the middle of the 3 rotting logs and cast bloom. Mort myre fungi will not spawn every time. Always pick the northern log last because when picked, you will return to the middle, removing the need to click back. After a full inventory, teleport to the TzHaar Fight Cave with the TokKul-Zo to bank and repeat using the fairy ring just north. Alternatively, if you haven't got a TokKul-Zo, use the fairy ring to bank in Zanaris, although this is slightly slower.

Alternatively, players with 68 divination or greater can use sign of the porter IV to bank the fungus. This method will reduce the need for bank trips and increase the yield. Each sign of the porter will transport 20 fungi at a cost of 1,083.15 per charge. Profit per hour will be greater than that of banking at the TzHaar Fight Cave but be less than that of using the deposit chest due to the cost of porters.

The better place to collect them is the resource dungeon as they're closer together and there are more of them, but that area requires 60 Dungeoneering to access. Without the resource dungeon, you can collect about 550 scales per hour, compared to 800 inside. 70 Agility is also recommended to avoid having to traverse Taverley Dungeon, which would require a dusty key. A Beast of Burden like the spirit terrorbird, war tortoise or pack yak are also very helpful to cut down on banking time.

Teleport to Taverley using the lodestone, and head south to the dungeon entrance. Enter the obstacle pipe if you have 70 Agility, or otherwise go the long way around (see Map:Taverley Dungeon for details). Enter the resource dungeon if you're able, and start collecting the dragon scales, being careful not to attack any blue dragons by accident. Pick up all of the scales (they respawn very quickly), storing them in your familiar as needed. When your inventory is full, teleport back to Taverley, bank the scales, and repeat. Grinding the scales is usually not worth the time taken and is not recommended, as the scale dust costs much less than the regular scales.

The Dungeoneering cape can be used to teleport directly to the Taverley dungeon blue dragons unlimited times, dramatically reducing trip time. Further, it is also possible to use Dragon trinkets to teleport directly there, at a cost of 5 trinkets per teleport, while this method will also reduce trip time, it should be considered whether the trinkets could be better used by the player.

Captured Temple map

Wine of Zamorak is used to create super ranging potions and super Zamorak brew. It can be taken from the table in the Captured Temple by hand only if the six nearby Monks of Zamorak are dead, or by using Telekinetic Grab, which requires 33 Magic.

The temple is near the Falador lodestone and is closest to the Bandosian token's teleport, which is usable 10 times per day.

Picking the wine up by hand inflicts damage ranging from 5% to 10% of current life points (higher percentages at low life points) and reduces Attack, Strength, Defence, Ranged, and Magic levels by 5%-6%. In addition, the monks will attack whomever attempts to take the wine (even if using Telekinetic Grab), but running east pass Miazrqa wanders will immediately drop their aggro.

The 3-tick animation of Telekinetic Grab can be outdone by picking up the wine by hand, which takes only 1 tick and does not use law runes.

Resting, Sacrifice and ultimate Constitution abilities can be used to keep life points up in lieu of food. In particular, Rejuvenate can restore drained combat levels but cannot be used if you are drained below 52 Defence, in which case restore potions (which are cheap and also restore large amounts of any stat as well) may be used.

The nearby altar permits liberal use of Protect from Magic, Rapid Heal, Rapid Restore, and combat-boosting prayers, as well as the Amulet of zealots. Redemption might be used but mind the 1-minute cooldown.

The wine respawns every 30 seconds, and the monks each take 225 seconds to respawn (3 minutes and 45 seconds), so about 6 jugs of wine can be looted for each cycle of monks killed.

Banking can be done by running to Taverley, by way of Falador Teleport (bring a Water rune or a Tome of frost), the Burthorpe or Falador lodestones, the Skull of Remembrance, or the Ring of kinship. Moreover, lost levels can be quickly restored by entering a dungeon at Daemonheim.
