Mithril hastas are a one-handed spear that is either made after being taught the smithing part of Barbarian Training (requires you to do Tai Bwo Wannai Trio to learn), or bought from the Grand Exchange. Making the mithril hasta requires using a special anvil south of Otto Godblessed with 55 Smithing, one mithril bar, and one maple log. 100 Smithing experience is gained from making a mithril hasta. To make this hasta into a hasta(kp), you must use karambwan paste on the hasta. Karambwan paste is made by poorly cooking a raw karambwan after or during Tai Bwo Wannai Trio, then using the poorly cooked karambwan on a pestle and mortar. All other hastas can be poisoned and made the same way as a mithril hasta(kp) just with different items and levels. A mithril hasta(kp) poisons players and most monsters equivalent to a weapon poisoned with super strong weapon poison (known as p++ or poison++).
