The Mining Tutor (real name Monlum[1]) tells players how to mine certain ores and what pickaxes they can use at certain levels. He is at the tin and copper mine in the Lumbridge Swamp.
He will hand players a bronze pickaxe if they do not have one in their inventory or bank.
Monlum will let you work for him if you ask. His tasks vary from fishing for Crayfish to collecting cowhides.
Jobs offered by Monlum:
1st. Collect 26 logs. Reward: money.
2nd. Bring him 25 raw crayfish. Reward: money.
3rd. Bring him 26 leather gloves. Reward: money.
4th. Bring him 22 pieces of copper. Reward: money.
Due to a recent update he was removed and no longer appears at the mine
