The windmill of Lumbridge

Mill Lane Mill is a windmill located between Draynor Village, Lumbridge and Varrock, just south of the Champions' Guild. There is one non-player character inside, Millie Miller, who instructs players on making flour. She is involved in the Cook's Assistant quest.

It is one of the only free-to-play windmills in RuneScape, the other being located inside the Cooks' Guild, although this requires a Cooking level of at least 32 to enter. The mill has three floors: the ground floor which includes the flour box and Millie Miller, the first floor which houses the grindstones that grind-up the wheat, and the second floor which encompasses the hopper and hopper controls.

The windmill is conveniently located right beside a wheat field, and the nearby farmer's house to the south-east of the mill provides players with a water source. This allows players to make bread dough easily and cook it in Lumbridge, providing a cheap source of food and Cooking experience without having to travel very far.

The trader Beefy Bill, in the field to the north, makes this a convenient place to make flour as he can bank it for players. He takes a percentage as payment for the service, unless charmed with the Ring of Charos. Players can also use the bank chest in the Lumbridge Crater which does not require a fee and is also fairly close.
