The Mightiest turoth is an especially strong Turoth. The Mightiest turoth can only be fought during the Desert Slayer Dungeon miniquest, after Smoking Kills.

Killing the Mightiest turoth gives the player a reward of 1,000 slayer experience. Contrary to popular belief, killing this boss while having the regular version assigned, does not give more slayer experience: 1,000 experience is the maximum. However, if the player's current task is turoths, then the 15% combat bonus of the (Full) Slayer helmet, Black mask, Hexcrest and Focus sight is in effect, as well as the Monstrous cave crawler counting toward the task. It is immune to the effects of stuns.

Like all Turoths, the Mightiest turoth is immune to all damage not dealt via a Leaf-bladed spear, a Leaf-bladed sword, Broad arrows, Broad-tipped bolts, or the Magic Dart spell. Therefore, it can not be poisoned. The recommended strategy for fighting the Mightiest turoth is to use Magic Dart and Protect from Melee. It summons some Swarming turoths (level 98) to aid it.

Higher level players will have no problem fighting this monster with a melee weapon. Your prayer will completely protect you against the turoth and his guards.
