Material packs are items that could be received from the Squeal of Fortune/Treasure Hunter which contains a variety of skill materials; there is also a chance for an additional reward. For the time they existed on the Squeal of Fortune, the packs replaced either the medium (for small crates) or huge (large crates) experience lamps. Material packs were discontinued from RuneScape on 14 July 2014.[1]
The crates contain a number of sets of items. For example, a player may receive 30 each of vials of water, a grimy herb and a secondary ingredient from one herblore crate. The player has the option of withdrawing one set or all sets at once, but not only one type of material.
Material crates of the same type don't stack in bank.
