Located in the Draynor Village market, Martin the Master Gardener is a member of the G.A.G. organisation. He is the starting point for two quests: A Fairy Tale Part I and A Fairy Tale Part II. Players who have reached level 99 in Farming may get the farming Cape of Achievement from him for a price of 99,000 coins. He can be pickpocketed for seeds at 38 Thieving. He seems to be somewhat harder to pickpocket than other master farmers. If you fail, he will say "Cor blimey, mate! What are ye doing in me pockets?", you'll take 3 damage and will be stunned for 5 seconds. Sometimes, Martin is lured into the pig pen, and then the gate is closed. This traps him, and restricts his field of movement, thus making him easier to pickpocket. This also prevents market guards from entering. If Martin is trapped in the pigpen, they also have the ability to sell the seeds to the local seed stall, as there is no way of knowing the seeds were stolen. Players can also sell the seeds back after a certain number of hours have passed should they pickpocket the gardener outside of the pen. In this case, Martin will stay in the pen until he is let out by a player, or a system update. You can't talk to him after you pickpocketed him, so be careful if you want to start a quest.
During the quest- Fairy Tale- Part 1 and Part 2, Martin is featured at the start of the quest. In Fairy Tale-Part 1, he talks about how none of his crops are growing and asks the player to ask the other farmers why. In Part 2 of the quest, (After you have killed Tanglefoot in Part 1 and have said that it is OK to grow things now) he says that he is surprised that 'You' come to him after you have 'Apparently' lied to him about how the crops will grow.
