The Marmaros hatchet is a Tier 3 hatchet, found in Daemonheim. It requires level 20 Attack to wield, and level 20 Woodcutting to chop the various trees in Daemonheim, or to clear the Woodcutting doors. It can be made from one marmaros bar, requiring level 22 Smithing and giving 29 experience. It is also a possible drop from the Bulwark Beast. This hatchet is quite popular to use in Dungeoneering as it is the highest tier that the Smuggler sells (rather than a player taking the time to smith one) for the cost of 2,000 coins versus 4,010 for one marmaros ore and a hammer.

Binding this item is not recommended as players may add it to their dungeoneering toolbelt to keep it between floors. If the player does not have the required woodcutting level to use it, it will automatically function as the highest level hatchet they can use.
