The Maple longbow is a longbow stronger than the willow longbow that can use arrows up to adamant. It is the strongest longbow available to non-members. The maple longbow requires a Ranged level of 30 or higher to wield. Players can purchase this bow from Lowe's Archery Emporium in Varrock. The maple longbow is also slower than the short bows, but longbows shoot at a longer range and with more accuracy.

Members can make a maple longbow through the Fletching skill at level 55. First, a player must cut an unstrung maple longbow from maple logs, granting 58.3 Fletching experience. Then, the player must string the unstrung maple longbow with a bow string, granting 58.3 experience.

Unlike its more powerful siblings, the Yew longbow and Magic longbow, this longbow is not profitable to alch. And, unlike the other two, this one is rarely even possible to sell on the Grand Exchange. Recently, however, the maple shortbows and longbows have been selling in the grand exchange at low or lowest price.

It is possible to earn a very modest amount of money by selling maple longbows to a General Store in a rapid fashion, but if you sell too many of them there, you will find that you are actually selling them for less than even the cost of the maple log.

• This bow was originally members only item. This has been changed by Jagex when they believed that the free to play rangers were not as strong as the other two combat classes.
• If you use a knife on the bow, and lag at the same time, there will be "null" under each of the bows under the "Which bow would you like to make". This only happens for a short time.
