Magic seeds are the most advanced tree seeds. They are planted in a plant pot with a trowel and watered to become Magic seedlings. Level 75 Farming is required to plant magic seeds. As Magic logs are needed to train Fletching effectively, the magic tree seed is currently the most expensive seed in the game.

The seed, when planted in a Tree patch, may grow into a magic tree, which may be cut down to yield magic logs and grant Woodcutting experience. After it is cut down, it will eventually regrow; however, it is also possible to use a spade on the cut tree roots, yielding the player some magic roots and make the tree patch available for planting a new tree.

With level 80 Summoning, a hydra may be used to instantly regrow and cut down magic trees in tree patches.

A farmer will watch it for 25 coconuts.

Magic seeds may be obtained by freeing a Dragon impling, through the Barbarian Assault minigame, as a drop from Commander Zilyana, a drop from a Moss Giant, or from a Bird's nest. You can either use or sell it for Grand Exchange price.
