Magic potions temporarily raise a player's Magic level by 5. As of the 17 November 2009 update, each magic level boost above the player's base magic level inflicts an extra 3% magic damage, so at the full 5-level boost of the potion magic damage is increased by 15%. This increase stacks with the increased magic damage certain staves inflict (such as the staff of light).
This potion may be dropped by the Possessed Priest boss during the quest Icthlarin's Little Helper.
Adding a ground mud rune to this potion will produce an Extreme magic potion.

Production costs
This table is based on the Grand Exchange prices of a vial of water, the lantadyme, and potato cactus. It is accurate assuming all three items are bought from the Grand Exchange and the Super magic potion is sold afterwards.

Grimy lantadyme is cleaned to become clean lantadyme added with a vial of water to make lantadyme potion (unf).
Then add a potato cactus to make a 3-dose Magic potion.
Flask
This potion can be made into a Magic flask by using at least six doses of it with a Potion flask. Players do not need a specific level to turn potions into flasks.
