The Magic longbow is the strongest longbow that can be made (crystal bows and dark bows are not player made). It can use arrows up to rune. The magic longbow requires a Ranged level of 50 or higher to wield. This weapon also has a special attack called Power Shot. It's an accurate shot that will almost always inflict damage. It does not fire 2 arrows for its special like the the magic shortbow.
Members can make a magic longbow through the Fletching skill at level 85. First, a player must cut an unstrung magic longbow from magic logs, granting 91.5 Fletching experience. Then, the player must string the unstrung magic longbow with a bow string, granting 91.5 experience.
This weapon is not as popular as the magic shortbow due to its slower speed.

Magic longbows are a popular item to cast the High Level Alchemy spell on, along with yew longbows, this is because it is seen as widely available to buy and players can make their money back or turn a profit.
Also, if a player wants to make more profit, he or she can sell the magic longs on the Grand Exchange. However, this can take a while, but the extra profit might be worth it.
