Magic dummies can be found in the building north of the Lumbridge general store, where the Combat Tutors are located.

Attacking them will give the player only the base experience of the casted spell, and none of the "bonus" damage-dependent experience. For instance: the Curse spell always earns the player 29 experience, while Fire strike always gives the player 11.5 experience, no matter how much damage the dummy suffers. In addition, spells such as Curse do not affect the dummies, allowing such spells to be cast continuously without resorting to wearing metal armour. Players do not gain any Constitution experience by training on Magic dummies.

Many players with high Magic levels trained on them by casting repeatedly casting stun; however, as of 29 March 2010, these dummies can no longer be used by high-levelled players to train magic; in addition, no weakening-related spells may be cast on these dummies. The magic level limit is 10 gaining roughly 1,154 magic XP before you can no longer use this dummy.

Although players were able to attack Magic dummies with a halberd or ranged weapons, this has since been fixed and players can no longer attack them with a halberd or ranged weapons.
