Lunar ore is a rare ore that can only be mined by players with 60 Mining during the Lunar Diplomacy quest. It is mined at the stalagmites in the western part of the dungeon in north-east Lunar Isle. Players are permitted only one ore at a time; if the player attempts to mine more than one, he will receive the message, "You already have some special ore - you don't need any more."

The ore is destroyed immediately if dropped, so it cannot be collected through the drop-and-pick-up technique. It can be smelted into a lunar bar through the Smithing skill and then made into a lunar helm. Other than that, the ore has no other use.
