Lunar ore is an ore that can be mined by players with 60 Mining and up during the Lunar Diplomacy quest. It is mined at the stalagmites in the western part of the Lunar Isle mine. Players are permitted only one ore at a time; if the player attempts to mine more than one rock at a time, they will receive the message, "You already have some special ore - you don't need any more."

The ore is destroyed immediately if dropped, so it cannot be collected through the drop trick. It can be smelted into a lunar bar through the Smithing skill and then made into a lunar helm. Other than that, the ore has no use.

The lunar helm (along with the rest of lunar armour) can be kept inside of a player's house so they may make a second.
