Bird's eye Jack, the navigator
  • Talk to Lokar on the westernmost dock of Rellekka, west of the dock sailing to Miscellania and Etceteria. He will talk about the Moon Clan.
  • Talk to Brundt the Chieftan in the longhall and get a Seal of passage. Keep it at all times when on the Lunar Islands or any related areas, or else players will be teleported back to Rellekka, even when the quest is over.
  • Talk to Lokar again to sail to the Pirates' Outpost. Players can board the ship, Lady Zay from here. There are also plenty of moss giants and pirates to fight, down the ladder at the end of the passage.
The Captain!
The Captain!
  • Talk to Captain Bentley. When he is asked to sail to the Lunar Islands, the ship strangely goes around in a circle.
  • Talk to Captain Bentley to know what happened. He will redirect to the ship navigator.
  • Talk to the Navigator, 'Bird's-Eye' Jack, on the lower deck. He will say the ship is all perfect.
  • Talk to Captain Bentley again. Say to speak to the Navigator again.
  • Talk to 'Bird's-Eye' Jack again. He will conclude that the ship is affected by a jinx.
  • Talk to Captain Bentley again. He will ask you to investigate which items on the deck are bewitched.

[edit] Part 2 - Moonclan island

There is a bank and general store free to use on Moonclan island.

Find Meteora to the southwest but within the village walls. She will tell that although they don't have a leader, the Oneiromancer will be able to help you more than anyone. Walk to the southeast part of the island and find the Oneiromancer (be aware of the Suqahs), who tells you that you will need 3 things:

  1. Waking Sleep Potion - talk to Baba Yaga in the chicken house in the north of the village, she will hand out a special vial, and tell that a guam leaf, marrentill and some ground tooth are needed. Kill a Suqah (level 111) nearby, the tooth does not drop every time but it's fairly common. They also drop guam and marrentill herbs.
  2. Pick up four Suqah hides if possible. Make the potion as required then talk to the Oneiromancer again, who will look after it.
  3. Lunar staff - Take a dramen staff (can be more than one) to the elemental altars, namely, air, fire, water and earth (in that order), and 'use' the staff on each of the four altars. Then, go back to the Oneiromancer.

Note that the lunar staff pt 1 to 3 is wieldable and have the same function as a dramen staff. However, when it is finished to be a lunar staff, it cannot be wielded until you complete the quest.

  1. Ceremonial Clothes - consist of 8 different items, namely
  • Helm - Take a pickaxe and travel northeast of the village and find a dungeon, be aware of the Suqahs, they can use ancient magicks to freeze players. Go down and mine any one of the stalagmite. Players should get one sufficient Lunar ore, either use superheat on it or put it in a furnace, then smith it using an anvil into a helm. The closest furnace and anvil are in Rellekka.
  • Cape - Talk to Pauline Polaris to the west side of the village. First, pick up the choice of 'Pauline'. Then, guess her name, her real name is Jane Blud-Hagic-Maid.
  • Amulet - Talk to Meteora, she will say that she'll swap her amulet for her tiara that she lost to one of the Suqah. Kill those to get it back, and exchange A special tiara for the Lunar amulet.
  • Torso, Gloves, Boots and Legs - Speak to the woman at the clothes shop until she tells that she can tan Suqah hides. Kill 4 Suqah if haven't already, get their hides tanned and then use a needle and 4 threads to make the 4 items.
Dig here!
Dig here!
  • Ring - Speak to Selene near the centre of the village, she will say a riddle. Take a spade and travel round outside the south side of the village to the west until players come to a bridge, South & West of that bridge you should see a particular square with blue flowers, dig on top of those flowers.

Take all items back to the Oneiromancer and she will give you all your obtained items back (make sure you have 11 free inventory spots), plus some kindling. Wear all the clothes, and go back to the centre of the village, where you can find a building with a large brazier inside. Before entering dreamland, some food and possibly an agility potion may help, and some inventory spots free. Use the potion with the kindling, then light the brazier with a tinderbox and place the kindling in it.

[edit] Part 3 - Dreamland

The Dreamland.
The Dreamland.

Players are now in dreamland. Talk to the Ethereal man and then attempt each puzzle. After completing each puzzle, talk to the guide in the centre again. If players need to leave, click the 'my life' book in the centre to go back, but the waking sleep potion needs to be made once again.

1.A game of chance Ethereal Fluke :
This involves dice, but the dice only have two possible combinations when they are rolled. Players need to get the dice to add up to the numbers that the dream guide provides. The dice are all either:

  1. 4 or 3
  2. 6 or 1
  3. 2 or 5.

2.Communicating in numbers :
This is where you complete mathematical sequences, for example, 14, then 25, then 36 as the numbers between increment by 11. Sequences for example:

  • 1 4 2 5 3 6
  • 3 4 2 5 1 6
  • 1 1 1 2 1 3 1 4 1 5
  • 9 7 5 3 1
  • 0 1 3 4 6 7
  • 2 6 3 7 4 8
  • 1 9 2 8 3 7
  • 1 2 3 4 5
  • 1 1 2 2 3 3 4
  • 8 6 4 2 0

3.Chop, Chop, Chop away :
This is a simple woodcutting game, just chop more logs than the guide. He supplies a bronze woodcutting axe, and this part is very easy. Make sure to deposit the logs on the right log pile!

The red dots indicate a possible path of travel.

4.Where am I? :
similar to the spike pits in Underground Pass, players have to jump between platforms hoping not to find the false platforms that will collapse and return to the start. Failing take no damage. The path is different for everyone. Nonetheless, there are reports that path will often be similar to the one on the right.

5.The race is on :
A simple agility test, beat the other guy to the end of the passage by jumping 4 hurdles whilst he walks a straight path. This is fairly easy, though an agility potion may help, and players may need food because failing a hurdle will deal 8 hitpoints. It is interesting that successful jumps look like walking in the space.

6.Anything you can do. Ethereal Mimic :
A mime-copying game, very similar to the mime random event. Just follow what the instructor does.

Once all the tasks above are completed, talk to the guide in the centre, he will ask if players are ready to face the ultimate challenge. Then, players will be on a plane with "Me", a 'monster' who's level 79 and pretty easy. Players will occasionally be teleported around this arena, but this is more annoying than dangerous. The chats are quite amusing from "Me" so listen out!

Once players have defeated "Me", talk to the guide at the centre of dreamworld, then exit via the lectern and go and talk to the Oneiromancer again (DON'T forget the seal and get teleported away).

Congratulations! Quest complete!

In one of the conversations with Captain Bentley, the player says "O Captain, my captain" which is the name of a poem by Walt Whitman.

Baba Yaga comes from Russian mythology, where she is an old witch (or old wild woman or mistress of magic) that lives in the house with chicken legs.

The walking chicken house was first used in 1979 as a game artifact in the Dungeon Master's Guide by Gary Gygax in the Dungeons and Dragons role playing game. Its first usage in a computer game was in Quest for Glory 1, a computer game made by Sierra Online.

When entering the town on Lunar Island for the first time the Player says "Here goes nothing!".

Bouquet Mac Hyacinth - examine text, "Should I pronounce it 'bucket?'" There is a character called Hyacinth Bucket on Keeping Up Appearances who insists her last name is bouquet.
