[edit] Profile
Leo the Gravedigger is a random event that players might trigger when engaged in any type of activity. When the event occurs Leo will immediately teleport the player to an old graveyard that contains five open graves, each containing a coffin.
Leo will then speak to the player and explain what he wants them to do for him.
In case the player does not have enough empty space in their inventory, they can use Leo's Mausoleum as a deposit box. When operating the Mausoleum, the player clicks on the items they would like to be deposited to their bank. The player should not deposit any items that they might need after they are teleported back to RuneScape.
Players who use an axe on one of the dead trees will receive the message "You don't need any wood. What are you planning on doing, making them a fresh coffin?"
[edit] Guide
The player must take the coffins out of their graves, inspect them, and then place them in the correct graves according to the items inside of the coffin. By clicking on a gravestone, the player can find the symbol of the speciality of the person whose coffin goes in this grave.
The images and the coffin items they go with are below.
Mining items
Woodcutting items
Crafting items
Cooking items
Farming items
After placing the coffins into their corresponding graves, the player should speak again with Leo. He will take a look at the graves to ensure that they are positioned correctly. If they are not, he will tell the player to take a look at them again. If the player attempts to bury an item from their inventory in a grave, they receive the message: "Burying that here would be very silly."
If they are correct he will thank the player and then teleport them back to the place from which they were teleported. Also, as a result, monsters that were tolerant may become aggressive again.
[edit] Rewards
After being teleported back to RuneScape, the player will receive a reward for correctly completing Leo's tasks. The rewards include the five pieces of the zombie outfit and two emotes, and can be received from the Random event gift in any order. Players now choose a reward, including coins, gems and ores. If they choose a costume, they must visit Thessalia's clothes shop in Varrock.
The Zombie Dance emote that a player can unlock in Leo The Gravedigger strongly resembles a part of a dance from Michael Jackson's music video for his song, "Thriller" and the zombie boots' examine info is "Thrilling".
A list of the rewards is given in the following table:
| Reward | Name |
|---|---|
| Zombie mask | |
| Zombie shirt | |
| Zombie trousers | |

[edit] Trivia
- Both emotes unlocked from this random event are in reference to Michael Jackson's 1983 classic music video Thriller, where Michael Jackson and others are zombies that break into dance.
- Leo wields his spade like a two-handed sword.
- Players will lose their tolerance with the monsters in the area if they are taken to a Random event.
- The action of digging up or burying a coffin in the random event resembles that of burying bones in Runescape.
- As of 25 February 2009, players may receive this event while doing anything, not just burying bones.
- Prior to 25 February 2009, it was once possible to receive two pieces of the zombie outfit. However, after it became possible to choose your reward, it is now only possible to receive one item of zombie clothing.
- If you choose to not complete the event by telling Leo you do not want to do it, Leo will teleport you back to RuneScape, but will not necessarily return you to where you came from.
- There are five dead trees and a tree stump, even though you can't cut any for the trees.
- There used to be different motions for the emotes. The Zombie Walk used to be a deep motion bending backwards and forwards from the lower spine area, while legs remained nearly motionless. The Zombie Dance used to be a strange and comic dance where the player would drop their arms and wave them back and forth, while shaking their body, while once in a while doing a kick. The motion also ended in an arguably funny kick. Many players liked the previous Zombie Walk, but like the new Zombie Dance.
