The Leaf-bladed spear can be bought from any slayer master for 31,000 coins. It is used to kill Turoths and Kurasks, with the only alternatives Magic Dart, Leaf-bladed sword, Broad arrows and Broad-tipped bolts. Level 55 slayer and level 50 Attack are needed to wield. It is a two-handed weapon - uses sword and shield slots.
The Leaf-bladed spear was, at one time, used to scam players. Noted Leaf-bladed spears look similar to noted Guthan's warspears, and it was often switched in place of the warspear at the last second. An update on 22 January 2007 made the Leaf-bladed spear non-tradeable to eliminate the possibility of scamming.
The Leaf-bladed spear is NOT poisonable with Karambwan paste. When using the paste with the spear it says the spear is not equipped to be poisoned. When using the spear with the paste, it requests you try a different spear.
