A large XP lamp is a rare prize that may be obtained from the Squeal of Fortune or Meg (of Player-owned ports), which grants the player a definite amount of experience scaled to the selected skill level. In contrast, a large XP lamp grants double the experience than of a medium one, or quadruple the experience of a small one. As with most lamps, you cannot bank this item. The experience gained is the same from level 98 to 120.
If the player receives one of these lamps, it is highly recommended to utilise it on a skill that is either expensive, such as Prayer or Herblore, or time-consuming, such as Slayer or Summoning.
As of 11 December 2012, this lamp can also be obtained from Meg when completing Player-owned ports random events.
Note: If you use a large XP lamp on Dungeoneering, you will not be awarded with the dungeoneering tokens
