The Kitchen in a Player-owned house is a room that a player can build at level 5 Construction and has 5,000 Coins to spare.

In the Kitchen, players have their own water supply, a fire to cook their food, and a larder where players can get their cooking materials.

As shown, there are 7 Hotspots available:

• Barrel

• Stove
• Larder
• Shelf
• Sink
• Pet baskets (previously known as cat baskets)

Ales obtained from barrels in a Player-owned house cannot be taken out of the house. However, players can brew these ales using the Cooking skill or purchase them in various bars. Keep in mind that to build any of the barrels, it is required that you have the cooking level  required to brew that item. For example, to build a Dragon Bitter Barrel, you must have level 36 construction and level 39 cooking.

TIP: To gain lots of experience, it is recommended to buy or make oak planks at the sawmill, then, make and destroy Oak Larders, since they give a reasonable amount of experience.
