The Kitchen in a Player-owned house is a room that a player can build at level 5 Construction, provided that he/she has 5,000 Coins to spare.

In the Kitchen, players have their own water supply, a fire or range to cook their food, and a larder where players can get their Cooking materials.

The larder and shelves contain items for making tea, which boosts your construction by 1-3 points, depending what grade of shelves the cup came from. These items are free, but they take up time and inventory space and are better used for adding to the house than training. To make tea, fill the kettle with water and boil the water on the stove. Add tea leaves followed by boiling water to the teapot, then pour the tea into a cup. Add milk if you like. Tea supplies will disappear when you leave the house.

BarrelEdit

Ales obtained from barrels in a Player-owned house cannot be taken out of the house. However, players can brew these ales using the Cooking skill or purchase them in various bars. Keep in mind that to build any barrel, you must have the cooking level required to brew that item in addition to the construction level necessary. For example, to build a Dragon Bitter Barrel, you must have level 36 construction and level 39 cooking.
