King Lathas Ardignas is the current king of East Ardougne. He is the brother of King Tyras, the ruler of West Ardougne. His father was King Ulthas. He plays a part in the Biohazard, Regicide, and Underground Pass quests, along with a couple others. He has the player kill his brother, King Tyras, in Regicide and wants to use the evil elves as warriors for taking over Camelot, but at the same time the elves are using him to find the Temple of Light. At the beginning of the quest series, players are led to believe that King Lathas is a protagonist and that his brother, King Tyras is an antagonist. Later on in the quest series it is revealed that it is the other way around. Also, players find out that he serves either Zaros or Zamorak.
King Lathas also has ties with Lord Iorwerth and the Sinclairs. This is known since Lord Iorwerth sent him a letter saying that Camelot will be attacked. King Ulthas and Lord Sinclair were friends and both he and his children probably hated the Knights Of The Round Table as Lathas wants Camelot. This could lead to a new Camelot storyline.
