Khazard Gnomish Extermination is an unofficial name given to the early efforts of the Mahjarrat General Khazard to wipe out the gnome race through violent holocaust. This effort effectively started the Khazard - Gnome War.

Details regarding the early days of the extermination are few. The conflict began in the recent Fifth Age, shortly before the Year 169. Apparently the human forces of Khazard, seemingly unprovoked, began attacking small gnomish outposts, settlements, and travellers, killing all they could due to their view that the race was "inferior". The Gnome Empire quickly responded with military force, escalating the conflict to what it is today.
