The Katagon maul is a (Tier 8) weapon available in the dungeoneering skill so it is only available while in the dungeon while training the skill. As it is Tier 8 it is possible to find this is in starting room, however the next maul, the gorgonite maul can not be found. It is the third best smithable maul while doing the skill dungeoneering and it is the fourth best maul in dungeoneering over all. Level 78 smithing and 4 katagon bars are needed to create this item.
