The Katagon chainbody is the eighth tier of chainbody available in Daemonheim, which can only be obtained and used while Dungeoneering. To equip a player requires level 70 Defence.
One may be picked up from the table at the beginning of a dungeon, obtained as a monster drop, or produced using the Smithing skill. Like most chainbodies making it requires 3 bars of its specific metal.
Making it requires a Smithing level of 77. Smithing this by using 3 Katagon bars on an anvil grants 228 smithing experience.
