Jewellery is any item worn in the neck or ring slots, and additionally bracelets which are worn in the glove slot. Many pieces of jewellery have unique traits or can be enchanted, while some are purely decorative.

Jewellery is any item worn in the neck or ring slots, and additionally bracelets which are worn in the glove slot. Many pieces of jewellery have unique traits or can be enchanted, while some are purely decorative.

Many types of jewellery can be made by the Crafting skill. Non-members may only craft, enchant or use standard amulets up to diamond, and cannot use any functional necklaces or rings other than the explorer's ring, ring of kinship, and ring of devotion. Players who have the Magic level to enchant jewellery (but not the Crafting level to make it) may be able to buy it unenchanted at Grum's Gold Exchange in Port Sarim.

  +
  +
Charges
  +
Charges on partially-charged enchanted jewellery can be combined to make one fully charged item and one item that contains left over charges. No charges are lost in the process. For example, combining the charges of two 5-charge Games necklaces results in one 8-charge (fully charged) necklace and one 2-charge necklace. All types of enchanted jewellery can have their charges combined, except for the forinthry brace.
  +
  +
Unlike the somewhat similar process of decanting, players cannot combine charges by themselves. Instead, Murky Matt at the Grand Exchange can combine charges for players. When a player right-clicks Murky Matt and selects 'Charge', all applicable items in the player's inventory have their charges combined.
  +
  +
If an item normally disintegrates into dust when its last charge is used, the item also disintegrates when its charges are reduced to 0 through combining charges. For example, combining the charges of two 4-charge games necklaces results in just one 8-charge necklace. If an item does not disintegrate when discharged, like enchanted dragonstone jewellery, then it does not when its charges are reduced to 0 through combining charges. However, if the option to destroy empty vials when decanting potions is enabled the items with 0 charges will be destroyed.

Unenchanted jewellery
Players can use the Crafting skill to turn gold bars into gold rings, necklaces, or amulets. They can also incorporate cut gems such as sapphires, emeralds, rubies, diamonds, dragonstones, and onyxes. Gem jewellery can be enchanted as noted below.

  +
Players can use the Crafting skill to cast gold bars into moulds at a furnace, creating gold rings, necklaces, or amulets. Amulets and symbols need to be strung with a ball of wool before they can be worn. Gems can be used during this process to create gem jewellery, which may be enchanted to bestow combat bonuses and other traits. Silver bars can also be used for a variety of jewellery.

*Amulet of catspeak: A members only amulet used in one or more cat-related quests

*Ice amulet: During the 2008 Christmas event this amulet could be used to call Snow imps which were used to help with the event. After the event the amulet became decorative only.

*Cramulet: Created during the Do No Evil quest, this amulet combines a Ghostspeak amulet with a Monkeyspeak amulet as the default configuration, with the possibility for players to also add a Camulet and Catspeak amulet/Catspeak amulet (e). This allows a player to speak with all the races whose respective amulets are contained within the Cramulet and can save up to three spaces in the bank.

*Gnome amulet: A reward from Tree Gnome Village Quest.  A cosmetic item.

Some rings have a limited number of uses before they are destroyed. Charges (uses) are stored on the player, not the item, so if you have only one charge left on a ring and you buy another ring, that new ring will still disappear after one use. All enchanted rings except for the ring of recoil and ring of luck are members only.
Necklaces
At one time, necklaces were the most limited category of enchantable items, but the full range are now enchantable by members.
Many rings have a limited number of uses before they are destroyed. Charges (uses) cannot transfer to other players; so if you only have one charge left, and you trade rings with someone who has full charges, your new ring will still disappear after one more use, and the other person will still get full use out of his. Latest revision as of 22:42, 8 April 2019

This article is about jewellery that players can wear. For the artefact found in the Varrock Museum activity, see Jewellery (item).

Jewellery is any item worn in the neck or ring slots, and additionally bracelets which are worn in the glove slot. Many pieces of jewellery have unique traits or can be enchanted, while some are purely decorative.

Many types of jewellery can be made with the Crafting skill. Non-members may only craft, enchant or use standard amulets up to diamond, and cannot use most functional necklaces or rings.

Charges

Charges on partially-charged enchanted jewellery can be combined to make one fully charged item and one item that contains left over charges. No charges are lost in the process. For example, combining the charges of two 5-charge Games necklaces results in one 8-charge (fully charged) necklace and one 2-charge necklace. All types of enchanted jewellery can have their charges combined, except for the forinthry brace.

Unlike the somewhat similar process of decanting, players cannot combine charges by themselves. Instead, Murky Matt at the Grand Exchange can combine charges for players. When a player right-clicks Murky Matt and selects 'Charge', all applicable items in the player's inventory have their charges combined.

Craftable jewellery

Unenchanted jewellery

Players can use the Crafting skill to cast gold bars into moulds at a furnace, creating gold rings, necklaces, or amulets. Amulets and symbols need to be strung with a ball of wool before they can be worn. Gems can be used during this process to create gem jewellery, which may be enchanted to bestow combat bonuses and other traits. Silver bars can also be used for a variety of jewellery.

Rings

Main article: Ring

Some rings have a limited number of uses before they are destroyed. Charges (uses) are stored on the player, not the item, so if you have only one charge left on a ring and you buy another ring, that new ring will still disappear after one use.
