The Jagex Clan Cup 2016 was a community event which began on 10 October 2016 and ran over a few weeks. It featured clans competing in a variety of different events. Similar to the Jagex Clan Cup 2013, this clan cup was hosted by players, rather than Jagex, due to their busy schedule.

LimitationsEdit

As the cup was ran by players, there were a number of limitations:

  • The PvM Cup consisted of submitting YouTube videos of a clan's best monster kills at the end of each week due to the lack of being able to track the kills that a clan performs over a week.
  • Due to not being able to check equipment used and the amount of kills a player gets for PvM competitions, the competitions were mostly solo speed-runs.
  • The Skilling Cup was not hosted this year because of difficulty in preventing use of bonus experience and other advantages.
