This article is a strategy guide for Jack of trades aura.

A quick, cheap and easy way to complete the required skill of a Jack of Trades aura is to use a daily routine after activating the aura. There are three main suggested ways for collecting experience in up to 20 skills, the Taverley & Burthorpe routine, the Varrock routine, and the Prifddinas routine listed below. Taverley & Burthorpe routine[]

The methods presented here can be performed by anyone regardless of level. Higher–level alternatives exist, and may be substituted if the player chooses. Everything required to complete this routine is collected en route.

Reusable items
The Gnome Shopkeeper's Armoury in Burthorpe provides both a bronze sword and a chargebow (which supplies its own ammunition) for free.

1–6. Farming Fishing Woodcutting Fletching Firemaking Cooking Start from the Taverley lodestone and travel north to the flax field.
7–8. Hunter Prayer Trade with Ayleth Beaststalker north of the pond to obtain a free Bird snare.
9–11. Crafting Mining Smithing Travel to Jack Oval's crafting Shop.
12–16. Attack Strength Defence Constitution Ranged Check all the combat styles in the Xp Selection frame on the combat settings screen, and ranged combat experience for an option that is not Defence.
  • Attack and kill a wolf found north of the Burthorpe mine with a Melee weapon and Ranged weapon.
17. Herblore Travel to Poletax's Herblore Shop, taking the free Grimy guam.
18. Thieving Follow the road south from Poletax's Herblore Shop to the market.
19. Summoning Travel to Pikkupstix's Summoning Shop, collecting the 7 Spirit shards, 1 pouch, 1 gold charm, and 1 Wolf bones for free.
20. Agility Travel to the Burthorpe Agility Course.
  • Walk-across the Log Beam.

Alternatively, a Toy mouse can be used to gain the agility experience negating the need to teleport away from, or complete the agility course.

1. Mining Start at the South-west Varrock mining site.
2–7. Crafting Magic Smithing Divination Hunter Summoning Travel to Varrock Square.
8. Runecrafting Teleport to the Air Altar via the Wicked hood.
9. Thieving Travel to the Varrock West Bank.
  • Pickpocket a nearby guard.
10–15. Attack Strength Defence Constitution Prayer Ranged Set your melee combat experience to Balanced, and ranged combat experience for an option that is not Defence.
16–19. Woodcutting FiremakingFletching Cooking Travel to the Varrock Palace courtyard.
20. Farming Travel to Treznor at the Varrock Palace tree patch.
  • Check on the tree's health at the farming patch or clear the patch of weeds if you do not have a tree planted there.

Alternatively, pick a White fruit from the White tree in the Varrock Palace garden (Requires completion of the Garden of Tranquility quest), or pick berries from the Bush patch south of the South-west Varrock mining site during the first step of this routine.

# Skills Action
1. Divination Start from the Prifddinas lodestone.
2. Fishing or Hunter
  • Place the divine location, and gather from it.
3–6. Agility Cooking Firemaking Herblore Deposit your inventory and withdraw a Toy mouse, a raw fish, a log, and a herb.
  • Wind, release, and catch the Toy mouse.
  • Light a fire with the log.
  • Use the raw fish on the bonfire to cook it.
  • Clean a grimy herb or add a herb to a Vial of water.
7. Prayer or Summoning Withdraw a bone or a Summoning pouch from the bank.
  • Bury the bone or summon a familiar with a pouch.
8–10. Woodcutting Fletching Thieving Travel to the Crwys district.
  • Chop a log from the Magic or Yew branches in the Crwys district.
  • Fletch the log obtained from woodcutting in the Crwys district.
  • Pickpocket a Crwys Worker.

Alternatively, pickpocket a Cadarn, Trahaearn, or Iorwerth Worker later.

11–15. Attack Strength Defence Constitution Ranged Deposit your inventory in the Crwys bank chest, and withdraw a Melee and Ranged weapon along with food, armour, and ammo to comfortably kill a Cadarn mage and/or Cadarn ranger.
  • Travel to the Cadarn district.
  • Set your melee combat experience to Balanced, and ranged combat experience for an option that is not Defence.
  • Attack and kill a Cadarn mage and/or Cadarn ranger with each combat style.
16–17. Farming Crafting Travel to the Cadarn flax patch.
  • Pick one flax in the Cadarn district.
  • Use the spinning wheel to craft a bowstring.
18–20. Mining Smithing Magic Travel to the Trahaearn district and deposit your inventory in the bank chest. Withdraw the Explorer's ring 4, or Fire and Nature runes to cast Superheat Item.

Tasks that don't count[]

These provide experience in a skill but do not count towards training 10 skills for this aura
