The Iron scimitar is a scimitar stronger than the Bronze scimitar. It can only be used in combat. Players can make an iron scimitar with the smithing skill at level 20 using 2 iron bars, giving the player 50 smithing experience. Players can purchase this scimitar from Zeke's Superior Scimitars in Al-Kharid.This scimitar can also be purchased from the Grand Exchange in Varrock.
Players should be aware that the iron scimitar is often used to scam players; when noted, disinguishing between the rune scimitar and the iron scimitar can be difficult, and the item is often switched at the last moment to fool players into parting with their money. This scam has been rendered obsolete by the removal of unbalanced trade.
