Iron mace detail

The Iron mace is stronger than the bronze mace and weaker than the steel mace. It requires an Attack level of 10 to wield, and is exclusively used for melee combat. Players can make an iron mace with the smithing skill at level 17 using one iron bar, giving the player 25 smithing experience. Players can purchase this mace from Flynn's Mace Market in Falador. An iron mace also respawns by the wilderness in edgeville and on the first floor of a house in Ardougne, which needs level 14 thieving to picklock the door. Oddly, the iron mace is more powerful than the Bronze mace but significantly cheaper.

One of the features of the mace is its small prayer bonus. This, combined with its speed, makes it a good low-level weapon.

Before the update on August 17, 2011, an iron mace respawned in the guard's house in Edgeville. This house is now impossible to enter and, after Ritual of the Mahjarrat, the inside is destroyed. The mace now respawns by the north-east corner of the house instead.
