A Iron kiteshield is the second weakest kiteshield. It can be purchased from Cassie's Shield Shop in Falador. A player with 27 Smithing can make the shield by using three iron bars on an anvil while carrying a hammer, granting 75 Smithing experience. Players with 1 defence can wield this item.
There is an iron kiteshield spawn in the level 35 wilderness, close to the Chaos dwarfs. As this is high in the wilderness (and thus near Revenants,) this is not a recommended way to obtain iron kiteshields.
This kiteshield is one of the best choices for Free-to-play pures training with 1 Defence.
