The Iron hatchet is the second weakest hatchet, slightly better than the bronze hatchet. It can be used in combat or in Woodcutting to cut trees. No Attack level is necessary for wielding it. Also, no Woodcutting level is required to cut wood with it, making it the best hatchet available at level 1 Woodcutting. Players can make an iron hatchet with the Smithing skill at level 16 using 1 iron bar, giving the player 25 Smithing experience.
Players can purchase this hatchet from Bob's Brilliant Axes in Lumbridge.
This hatchet respawns in many places, including the Varrock Sewers.
