Iron bolts (unf) are used with feathers to make Iron bolts. These can be smithed at level 18 by using an iron bar on an anvil. Each iron bar gives 10 unfinished iron bolts. At a fletching level of 39 players can add feathers to them granting 1.9 experience/bolt. After that, you may use a chisel on an oyster pearl or oyster pearls to get some pearl bolt tips, which can be attached to the iron bolts to make pearl bolts. These can be enchanted at 24 magic to make pearl bolts (e) using 1 cosmic rune and 2 water runes. If the materials are bought one can make a marginal profit from them, making them a useful way for training fletching for poorer players.
Using these items in PvM or PvP is not recommended as Iron Bolts have very low hits and hit very seldom.
