Planting an Irit seed yields 43 experience and picking the Grimy Irit herbs from it yields 48.5 experience for each herb picked.
A nearby gardener will not watch over your growing irit.
Planting irit seeds are very profitable, so therefore players are advised to make sure that the herb does not die. Supercompost (or Fertile Soil spell) is strongly recommended, as this is the best way of preventing your herbs from getting disease, as it is not possible to water the patch, or ask a farmer to tend the herbs.
