Ilona is a woman from Lumbridge and a Wizards' Tower apprentice. During the quest The Blood Pact, she is kidnapped by three Zamorakian cultists, named Reese, Caitlin and Kayle, that wish to kill her as a sacrifice needed to open the entrance to Dragith Nurn's catacombs filled with undead.
An adventurer, along with Xenia, a seasoned adventurer, must rescue her from being sacrificed to Zamorak by the cultists in the Lumbridge Catacombs during the quest. Ilona returns to the Wizards' Tower at the end of the quest, wherein she is rescued from Reese.
After completing the quest, she can be found on the first floor of the Tower as an apprentice wizard, determined to never again be defenceless. Her specialty depends upon the choices the player made during The Blood Pact. If Kayle and Caitlin were spared, she studies stun and bind spells in order to incapacitate without killing. If they were instead killed, she studies elemental magic to stop attackers dead in their tracks.
If you speak to Ozan, one of the signature heroes while he is wandering, he will sometimes say he was out on a date with Ilona and how she kept changing the subject back to the adventurer who saved her instead of him.
