The Hobgoblin Champion will challenge players with the Hobgoblin champion scroll as part of the Champion's Challenge. The scroll is randomly dropped by Hobgoblins. Players are not allowed to use melee attacks. The champion fights using a javelin. For every attack the Hobgoblin Champion performs, your Prayer is drained by 1 point. As the Hobgoblin Champion fights using Ranged, it has a high Magic defence; use of Ranged is recommended over Magic.

• The Champion Hobgoblin looks like the Hobgoblin from the FunOrb game Armies of Gielinor.
• The Hobgoblin champion, like many other champions, is not the strongest of its race, that title being given to the Hobgoblin Geomancer, although the Hobgoblin champion is the strongest Hobgoblin outside of Daemonheim.
