The following table is based on actual prices at the Grand Exchange and can be used to determine a cheap way of training Herblore. Prayer potions are generally the cheapest way. Note that not every potion sells easily at the Grand Exchange. Additionally, note that the production costs shown do not currently include the experience granted for making unfinished potions.
Two options are considered: buying vials at the Grand Exchange for 16 coins, or buying them at a shop for about 10 coins. Aemad's Adventuring Supplies in Ardougne sells 300 vials of water, Obli's General Store in Shilo sells 1,000 vials of water and 1,000 empty vials, as well as Jossik.
It may also be more profitable to buy grimy herbs (for less) and clean them (for more experience). Profit/loss using grimy herbs are shown between brackets.
