HistoryEdit

Hazelmere's signet ring was released as a hidden update on 27 March 2017, the same day as the luck rework; information on how to obtain the ring was not provided. As of 29 May 2017, no player has obtained Hazelmere's signet ring in-game.

According to Mod Timbo, Hazelmere's signet ring had been obtainable since the release of the luck rework,[3] had no quest requirements to obtain the ring,[4] and hinted that obtaining Hazelmere's signet ring from the rare drop table was "on the right track".[5] Mod Timbo later confirmed that Hazelmere's signet ring is obtained from the "Super Rare" section of the rare drop table, requiring players to have at least tier 4 luck to receive it as a monster drop.[1]

Prior to 3 April 2017, multiple claims of players having obtained Hazelmere's signet ring had been made on social media websites, on 3 April 2017 Mod Timbo confirmed that no player had obtained one however.[6]

On 4 April 2017, in response to theories that a bug may be preventing the ring from being dropped, Mod Timbo confirmed that there was no error in the code.[7]

Following the luck rework update, players began reporting obtaining a blurberry special from monster drops; on 5 April 2017, Mod Timbo confirmed speculations that the drops are legitimate, and were related to Hazelmere's signet ring.[8]

On 6 April 2017, Mod Timbo also confirmed that no luck ring was required to receive the blurberry special drop.[9]

On 7 April 2017, Mod Timbo confirmed that Hazelmere's signet ring was not time-gated content,[10] and that it could not be obtained while wearing a luck ring below luck of the dwarves.[11]

On 8 April 2017, Mod Timbo revealed that players do not need to wear other luck-enhancing items along with luck of the dwarves to obtain Hazelmere's signet ring.[12] Mod Timbo also stated that the ring was not related to the Mysterious perk,[13] and could be obtained outside the Wilderness.[14]

On 9 April 2017, Mod Timbo explained that the ring does not really have a connection to Hazelmere.[2] Mod Timbo also confirmed it could be dropped in Kuradal's dungeon,[15] but being on a Slayer task was not required to receive the ring,[16] and that a blurberry special was not required.[17]

On 10 April 2017, Mod Timbo implied that having this ring equipped would not result in another ring drop.[18]

On 15 April 2017, Mod Timbo stated that the ring could not be obtained from treasure trails.[19]

On 17 April 2017, Mod Timbo revealed that the ring is basically dropped similar to the Vecna skull, except much rarer. This needs the Luck of the dwarves equipped for it to drop.[1]
