Hard leather detail

Hard leather is used in the Crafting skill to make hard leather armour. It can be created by giving a cowhide and 3 coins to a tanner or by looting baby impling jars. A tanner can be found in Al-Kharid, the Ranging Guild, south-west Varrock and the Crafting Guild and Burthorpe.

A hard leather can be made into Hard leather body at 28 Crafting if a player has a needle and thread, granting 35 Crafting experience. This body cannot be made into a Studded body; this is done with the soft leather body. You can make a profit by buying cowhides and tanning them into hard leather by talking to Ellis.
