A Hallowe'en mask, also known as a Halloween mask or a h'ween mask, is a holiday item that was introduced on 31 October 2002 as part of the 2002 Hallowe'en event. The Halloween mask comes in three colours: green, blue, and red. A Halloween mask covers the entire head of the wearer, similar to a full helmet.

Historically, the Green hallowe'en mask has been the least expensive of the set. The Red hallowe'en mask is the most expensive in recent history, although at times the Blue hallowe'en mask has been more expensive. In addition, the prices of these masks tend to rise during the month of October because of Halloween. During the spring and summer, the masks can drop in prices (varies accordingly) before a quick rise in price during the months of September and October. However, it is common knowledge that rares (namely H'ween masks and Santa Hats) crash after their respective holidays.

After Free Trade was re-instated, the Grand Exchange prices of all wearable rares skyrocketed, because it was previously impossible to trade rares on the GE at their street value due to the ±5% limit. This does not reflect the actual price the masks were traded for.

  • Originally, Halloween masks could be sold to General stores, but this is no longer possible due to the personalised shops update.
  • On 9 June 2010, the Court Cases update caused all halloween masks to appear red, regardless of their actual colour. This issue was fixed with an update within around 2 hours.
  • In RuneScape Classic, the H'ween masks were just masks with strings on the back (To hold them to your face.) In the switch to RS2 they were changed to cover your entire head and neck.
