H.A.M. guards can be found in the H.A.M. Hideout.

They appear to be wearing an old hardleather body, a blackjack, a wooden shield, and H.A.M. clothing.

In the H.A.M. store rooms below the H.A.M. Hideout, there are H.A.M. guards that can also be pick-pocketed. Thieving loot includes all the possible drops, including the level 1 clue scroll, plus metal keys that can be used to get gems and jewellery from chests in the H.A.M. store rooms.

If you talk to them ordinarily, they will say "How did you get down here?" and attack. However, if you are wearing the full H.A.M. attire, there will be more chat options and the guard will only become aggressive if you choose the "Make me!" chat option when he asks you to leave. H.A.M. guards are very well known for dropping the level 1 clue scroll.
