A Guard dog is an aggressive dog animal in RuneScape. They do not drop charms.
They could be assigned by a Slayer Master. Upon killing one for a slayer task, you will receive 49 experience per kill. Lower-level rangers could handle them safely through the fence of the north side of the McGrubor's Wood. Another spot is behind the mushrooms located on the south-west corner of the wood. Players wielding a halberd can safely attack them from any side of the fence.
Guard dogs can also be used as guards in Player-owned houses.

- Ardougne - four spawn in the gardens of Lord Handelmort's house west of the market square.
- McGrubor's Wood - ten dogs, however the dog in the northwest corner cannot be reached.
- Black Arm Gang hideout in Brimhaven.
Only 2-3 dogs which are close together are needed especially on a crowded world with faster resprawn rates.

Guard dogs are available to players making Oubliettes and such at level 74 Construction. They cost 75 000 coins to "build", and have a different examine text.
