Green partyhats come from opening Christmas crackers, which were obtained in the 2001 Christmas event. They are currently the fifth most expensive partyhat of the six. Green partyhats have a very high street price, around 270 Million coins.
A green partyhat was also one of the most expensive items lost during the World 111 glitch.

[edit] Trivia
- On 8 November 2009, players discovered a way to temporarily duplicate partyhats (and presumably any item) by lending the item away then opening house options. This would return the item to the lender, while the receiver retained a copy. The receiver's copy would disappear immediately upon moving in any direction, and is therefore impossible to keep for any extended period of time unless the receiver does not move at all.
