A Granite body is a members-only piece of armour, and the third piece of granite armour to be released. To wear a granite body, the player must have at least level 50 Strength and level 50 Defence. It is the only item from the Barbarian Assault minigame that cannot be obtained with points. It can only be obtained after a Penance Queen kill (if the player also pays 95,000 coins), trading with another player, or bought at the Grand Exchange in Varrock.

It is possible to make a decent profit on the armour by buying it from the Barbarian Assault minigame and selling it to the Grand Exchange. Currently, the possible gain of buying the armour from the minigame, and selling it at the Grand Exchange would be 79,700 coins.

The granite body's stats are higher than a rune platebody. As it is a relatively cheap item with low requirements, this has become a popular piece of equipment mostly for medium level members. It is also popular among players that do not wish to do the quest Dragon Slayer or obtain a Fighter torso or Bandos chestplate.

The Granite body does not interfere with Ava's accumulator and is the heaviest item worn on the chest in the game. Although it has better stats, granite body is commonly referred to as "noob" armour.
