The Common Trade Index is an average of commonly used items traded at the Grand Exchange.

Items may be removed or added to this index over time, but the index will remain "neutral" when that happens, following the method that the Wall Street Journal uses when the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) is calculated (see the FAQ for more information). Any suggested changes to this index should be added to the talk page.
