Gold torches were released 11 July 2012, in preparation for the Gielinor Games, but not made available for purchase until the release of the games on 24 July 2012. It may be purchased from Oomad Arrow's Gielinor Games Reward Shop. It costs 750 contribution points. It is a cosmetic item, and has an emote that can be activated when worn. This item can be stored in POH's toy box. This torch can be used as a weak (dim) light source. Once obtained, a player can use the drop trick, or trade with Diango to keep obtaining them. The "Destroy" option just drops the torch, so the player can pick it up again, and get another one from Diango. Or you could take one from him, close the holiday items window, open it up again, and take another torch. This has yet to be fixed and works in both free worlds and member's worlds.
