Gnome scarf

A detailed view of a Gnome Scarf
The Gnome scarf is a possible item reward of the Gnome Restaurant minigame. Along with the Gnome Goggles, players can only receive it from Captain Daerkin and Captain Ninto, both of whom are possible customers for the harder deliveries. It is a way for people to show their wealth, hence the high price. The scarf is worn in the necklace slot.

The look of this item however, was changed on 5 November 2007 because of "render issues." They were again changed on 12 November taking on their former 'flying back' appearance, but there is much debate on the official forums regarding whether or not they should be changed back to their original appearance.

A merchant spike with the Gnome scarf.

The scarf is mainly used for its appearance and merchant status as it is expensive, prominent and has no requirements.

[edit] Trivia

  • Within the month leading to the 2008 Christmas event, the Gnome Scarf saw a substantial increase in value. This was due to the promise of Santa Suit release, with which the Scarf is viewed by others as the perfect accessory. The price increase could also be explained by a glitch which was fixed at around the same time, which previously allowed players to avoid undesirable orders.
