Gilded armour sets (sk) are made by exchanging a Gilded full helm, Gilded platebody, Gilded plateskirt, and Gilded kiteshield with a Grand Exchange clerk. The set is purely to save space and for use in the Grand Exchange. Players can exchange the set with a Grand Exchange clerk to receive the items listed above.
Gilded rune armour has the same stats as normal rune armour, and thus it is mainly for show.
Due to this armour simply being gold plated rune, it does require Dragon slayer to equip it, along with 40 defence.
Many rich people wear this armour because it looks nice, otherwise many runecrafting runners wear golden items and these are option for items. Any piece of this armour is a possible reward from a level 3 clue scroll. Remember, players can not trim or make armour gold plated.
[edit] Trivia
- The skirted version of the gilded armour set is less expensive then the legged version despite its identical stats
